The Chess Pieces:
 
The British are coming! This amazing chess set depicts the style and clothing of the Revolutionary period in striking detail. The artist has taken the time to research historic material in order to ensure that this American Independence chess set is historically accurate. Each piece is hand painted and cast in durable polyresin. If you're a fan of the American Revolution you are sure to be a fan of this set. American history buffs will love this theme chess set.

The King is 3.25" tall and with a 1.125" diameter base. Pieces are made from cast poly-resin, a very hard, stone like material. Each of the chessmen have been intricately sculpted and hand painted with an amazing level of fine detail.
 
This is a great way to keep your chess pieces and board all together. The wood is cherry stained and the chest is Bronze and silver. On the wood is a 13" Silk Screened Chess Board with 1.5"squares. The slots will accommodate chessmen 3.5" x 1' x 1".

This is by far the most impressive chess set I've ever seen!!

Now you have to know up front when buying online I generally look at the three star and lower reviews, so I ordered this set with a lot of skepticism, just sure something was going to be FUBAR,...... Boy was I wrong!! I got the set and carefully un-packed it and was just amazed. It is PERFECT!! Seems that all the every flaw that had been complained about in the three star and less reviews had been addressed by the manufacturer!! So being eager to show it off and being a good ole boy, I invite my buddies over and we all set out on the porch {now that the weather is finally getting nice out} and play from noon until sunset. I enjoy all the compliments this beautiful the set gets, and everyone loves to play on it!!
